I am a Doctoral Research Assistant at the Computational Bioinformatics and Bioimaging Laboratory in the Department of ECE at Virginia Tech. My research focuses on signal processing, machine learning and pattern recognition with application to genomic data. I am interested in the development of engineering algorithms and software tools to facilitate the extraction and interpretation of biological information from high throughput data. I am a computer engineering student by training, so I have some experience in applying statistical modeling techniques to the analysis of high-dimensional microarray data and working with researchers/scientists with different scientific background.
